The race will occur on the Mississippi River Alton Pool formed by the Mel Price Lock and Dam, located upriver from the city of Saint Louis at the Lincoln Shield access. This section of the Mississippi River is very much like a large lake and the race will occur in an off-channel portion of the river. Racers will navigate a triangular 3 mile loop. |Stream Team United Missouri River 100:|
A 5 day, 100 mile float of the Missouri River this September as a fundraiser for Stream Teams United (formerly known as Missouri Stream Team Watershed Coalition). It is a nonprofit empowering Stream Team volunteers to get grants, earn scholarships, and educate their communities about cleaning up The Great Rivers State.
The event will be September 23-27th, covering the last 100 miles of the MO River beginning at Hermann and ending at Columbia Bottoms, the MO and MS River confluence. Additional information is available at http://www.paddlemo.org/.
